EXXONMOBIL WINS AWARD FOR WORST EU LOBBYIST - HUHNE

Responding to ExxonMobil being awarded the Worst EU Lobby Award 2006 for its continued funding of climate sceptic websites and work, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary Chris Huhne MP said:

"This is a richly deserved wooden spoon for ExxonMobil, which is unique among oil companies in its aggressive funding of organisations that continue to deny the overwhelming scientific consensus on climate change.

"ExxonMobil does itself and its shareholders no favours by failing to recognise reality and in its underhand attempts to undermine its opponents."
