Government has moral obligation to give police full pay rise

Commenting on the Police Federation's legal bid to force the Government to award them a full 2.5% pay rise, Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary, Chris Huhne said:

"Whatever the legal ruling, the Government has a moral obligation to abide by the police pay arbitration award because the police are legally deprived of the right to strike or even take other jobs."
