INACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE FINANCIALLY COSTLY – HUHNE
Commenting ahead of the Stern Review on the economics of climate change, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, Chris Huhne MP said:
“The Stern review will strip away the final argument for doing nothing: the science is clear, and now so is the economics.
“Waiting to tackle carbon emissions will merely cost us more, and lead to greater risks with the future of the planet.
“We urgently need to move the debate from targets and rhetoric onto practical steps like green taxes that help us change our behaviour.”
