DIRTY DOZEN SHOWS THAT CONSERVATIVES ARE STILL ‘TOXIC TORIES’ – HUHNE

Ahead of today’s [Thursday] New Conservative Approaches to the Environment pamphlet published by the Green Alliance, the Liberal Democrats have released a dossier of 12 examples showing the Conservatives are still ‘toxic Tories’.

David Cameron may talk green, but under his leadership the Tories have yet to propose any credible policies on reducing greenhouse emissions or protecting the environment.

Commenting, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, Chris Huhne MP said:

“As our evidence shows, David Cameron’s party are still the same old toxic Tories. Voting blue is anything but going green.

“Rather than wasting time on endless stunts, David Cameron should focus on getting his party to adopt real policies to cut emissions and prevent climate chaos.”
